From October 21 to 23, 2024, the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE 2024) officially took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The event, co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), aimed to promote policies for sustainable development, energy transition, the application of green technology, and reducing environmental impact.
The exhibition brought together over 200 businesses and 13 international pavilion groups. Highlighted activities included the high-level opening ceremony, the panel discussion “Shaping a Green Future,” and various engaging thematic workshops.
Golden Gate BCE at GEFE 2024
Golden Gate BCE, a distributor of food and non-food products from Asia that meet ESG and CBAM standards in Europe, was honored to participate in GEFE 2024. A company representative shared:

Strategic Partnership Signed Between Golden Gate BCE and KLC Group

Dr. William Nolten, Chairman of Golden Gate BCE, and Ms. Dang Thi Huong Giang, Deputy General Director of KLC Group, signed a strategic partnership agreement valued at 20 million USD witnessed by H.E. Kees van Baar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam, and Mr. Daniel Stork, Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.
Under this agreement, Golden Gate BCE will leverage its expertise in domestic agricultural production to support KLC Group in expanding its export market to EU countries.
Ms. Dang Thi Huong Giang stated:
“We are eager to adopt advanced technologies from Golden Gate BCE to align with our vision of developing high-tech, green, clean, and sustainable agriculture.”
Dr. William Nolten also expressed confidence in the potential of green agricultural products from KLC Group and committed to bringing Vietnamese products to leading wholesalers and retailers across Europe.

Also at GEFE 2024, Dr. William Nolten, Chairman of Golden Gate BCE, and Ms. Thai Nhu Hang, CEO of Turn Green Holding, signed a strategic alliance to develop a sustainable circular economic model. The project will focus on converting algae lipids into bioplastics and finished products in Vietnam, with a total investment of 8 million euros.

The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Kees van Baar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam, and Mr. Daniel Stork, Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.In the future, Golden Gate BCE Group plans to continue fostering collaborations with domestic and international partners to expand the global reach of its products, particularly in the European market.The company is committed to advancing the shared vision of a green future and achieving the Net Zero emissions target by 2050.
